The 2007/08 Official sweater for the Norwegian Ski Teams
Kollen will be the official sweater for the Norwegian athletes during the 2008 World Championship. The new Ski Team sweater is produced in the softest Merino quality and is named after the famous Holmenkollen arena in Oslo.
Holmenkollen is a hilly area in the outskirts of Norway’s capital Oslo, and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway. The area has been a ski recreation area since the late 19th century, with its famous, eponymous, ski jump arena hosting competitions since 1892.
During its time as a ski arena, it has served as host to nine different Nordic skiing and biathlon world championships, including the 1952 Winter Olympics. In 2007 the ski jump at this arena will be historic, since the parliament has decided that it will be demolished and replaced in the spring of 2007. Dale of Norway have designed this sweater as a tribute to this great ski jump arena.
