The Swedish Smörgåsbord is a traditional holiday meal that originated as a Viking feast. Typically beginning with herring and Aquavit, cold dishes are then served followed by hot food and a dessert table. At Al Johnson's, we offer many of the traditional Smörgåsbord foods such as herring, beet salad, Christmas ham, roast pork, potato sausage, meatballs, red cabbage, and Jonsson's Temptation, a potato dish featuring anchovies. Al's traditional Swedish Christmas plate, featuring all of the above items, will be served from 11 am until 3 pm (December 15th through the 23rd), and from 11 am until 8 pm (December 24th through the 31st), for just $16.95. Enjoy it with a mug of warm Swedish Glögg!...
